Analyst, Planner/Buyer – Medical Device Supply Chain

About the role

This position supports the Global Operations & Quality team by planning material requirements and managing supplier relationships for a medical‑device company. You will work cross‑functionally with manufacturing, sales and quality teams to ensure timely delivery of products to patients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Plan material requirements and issue purchase orders to support production schedules and new product launches, including negotiating pricing and delivery terms.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure materials meet specifications and resolve issues such as non‑conforming material, unclear specs, or capacity constraints.
• Analyze current EW and VMI levels, determine need for VMI releases and communicate inventory requirements to suppliers.
• Expedite purchase orders, manage material flow from receiving inspection to production stores, and participate in the Material Review Board for supplier‑related quality issues.
• Maintain gross inventory targets, develop action plans to reduce excess or obsolete parts, and manage equipment acquisition through the Capital Procurement Assets process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum three years of experience in purchasing, production control, or related supply‑chain functions.
• Experience in a regulated or medical‑device environment is preferred.
• Strong problem‑solving, critical‑thinking and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using an ERP system (e.g., JD Edwards).
• APICS certification (preferred).
• Knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and inventory management techniques such as JIT, Kanban, and Min/Max.
