Analyst – Buyer (Medical Device Supply Chain)

About the role

The Analyst, Buyer will join the Global Operations & Quality team to ensure medical‑device products reach patients worldwide. You will partner with manufacturing, sales and supply‑chain functions to plan and execute material procurement for existing demand and new product introductions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan material requirements and provide them to support production schedules and complex new‑product launches.
• Work with suppliers to guarantee materials meet specifications and resolve non‑conforming items.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to remove obstacles such as unclear specs or vendor capacity constraints.
• Expedite purchase orders and manage material flow from receiving inspection to production stores.
• Produce regular analysis and reports on backorders, service levels, inventory value, consignment levels and excess/obsolete inventory.
• Support action plans to minimize excess and obsolete stock.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 5 years experience in purchasing, production control or logistics.
• Experience in a medical‑device or other regulated industry.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel).
• ERP systems – preferably JD Edwards (JDE).
• Data analysis and cost analysis.
• Material Requirements Planning (MRP) concepts.
• Inventory management techniques such as JIT, Kanban, Min/Max.
