Accounts Payable Supervisor – Finance Leadership

About the role

Confluent Medical Technologies, a fast‑growing medical device company, is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead its AP function in Costa Rica. The role reports to the Accounting Services Manager and Accounting Director, overseeing accurate processing of transactions in the Epicor ERP system and ensuring high‑quality service to internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage weekly supplier payments, employee reimbursements, travel expense processing and vendor invoice posting.
• Prepare monthly accruals, perform AP aging analysis and reconcile general ledger/sub‑ledger accounts.
• Execute month‑end close activities, including accrual preparation and GL reconciliations.
• Oversee the full AP cycle: invoice processing, three‑way match, payment runs, wire transfers and issue resolution.
• Maintain relationships with high‑priority suppliers, internal buyers and warehouse teams, resolving payment‑related issues.
• Perform monthly supplier statement reconciliations and ensure accurate invoice coding across departments and sites.
• Maintain the AP mailbox, responding promptly to vendor inquiries.
• Support internal and external audits and respond to compliance requests.
• Develop, implement and maintain accounting policies to ensure compliance with IFRS, IAS and GAAP.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounts payable with a solid understanding of the AP cycle.
• Supervisory experience managing analysts or junior staff.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Epicor.
• Ability to perform month‑end close, accruals and reconciliations.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
