Accounting & Operations Associate

About the role

Join a founder‑led, AI‑first mobility data company as an Accounting & Operations Associate. You will support the COO, keep the books accurate, ensure timely payments, and help streamline day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Bill.com: enter, code, route bills, schedule payments and ensure contractors, consultants and vendors are paid on time.
• Process expense reports, reimbursements and collect receipts.
• Maintain payee records, onboarding forms and support monthly bank and card reconciliations.
• Prepare simple spending reports for the COO and gather documents for external accountants.
• Support operations by tracking transponder orders, organizing toll‑agency paperwork and cleaning data in spreadsheets and internal tools.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of hands‑on finance, bookkeeping or finance‑operations experience.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Comfortable working remotely from San José and collaborating across time zones.
• Professional, clear English communication, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Experience with Bill.com (preferred) or similar accounts‑payable platforms.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or comparable accounting software.
• Advanced skills in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to use AI tools to accelerate routine finance tasks while verifying outputs.
