Accounting Assistant for U.S. Clients (Remote, Costa Rica)

About the role

CFO Network is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounting Assistant to support its U.S.‑based accounting team and clients. This full‑time remote position is based in Costa Rica and offers the chance to develop an accounting career while working with American businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Record and categorize financial transactions in QuickBooks Online.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Reconcile bank and credit‑card accounts.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
• Assist with the monthly close and generate standard financial reports.
• Research and resolve routine transaction discrepancies.
• Communicate regularly in English with U.S. colleagues and clients.
• Provide additional bookkeeping and accounting support as needed.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of bookkeeping or related accounting experience, or a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Upper‑intermediate English proficiency (B2) or higher, both written and spoken.
• Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow established processes.
