Upper Elementary English Teacher

About the role

Blue Valley School, part of the Inspired Education Group, is seeking an Upper Elementary English Teacher to join its vibrant community in San José, Costa Rica. You will deliver engaging, high‑quality English instruction to students in the Upper Elementary years, fostering strong reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical‑thinking skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver dynamic English lessons that develop all language domains.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs, abilities, and interests of each student.
• Promote a love of language and literature through meaningful texts, creative writing, discussion, and inquiry‑based learning.
• Assess and monitor student progress regularly, providing clear feedback and targeted support.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident and motivated.
• Encourage independence by helping students build effective learning habits and organization skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan learning experiences and share best practices.
• Communicate constructively with parents to support each student’s academic, social, and emotional development.
