Travel Consultant – Heredia, Costa Rica

About the role

As a Travel Consultant based in Heredia, you will be the primary point of contact for BCD Travel’s corporate clients, helping them plan and book business trips efficiently. You will work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, and may operate remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Search, book and confirm travel reservations using the Amadeus GDS.
• Interpret and apply client travel policies, providing cost‑effective recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with regulations such as DOT, TSA, passport and visa requirements.
• Provide clients with information on fares, exchange rates, penalties and industry updates.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and commercial relationships.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a travel agent or consultant.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Solid understanding of travel industry policies, procedures and processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Amadeus Global Distribution System (GDS).
