Trainer I – Manufacturing Training Specialist

About the role

The Trainer I will lead the training program for production operators, ensuring that training methods are applied correctly to meet product quality, yield, and delivery targets. This role combines hands‑on instruction with the development of tools and metrics to continuously improve training effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Create and execute training plans aligned with the operation’s learning curve.
• Develop and deploy tools such as checklists, learning curves, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) as needed.
• Monitor trainee performance, conduct practical evaluations, and certify operators.
• Support safety reporting, Kaizen events, and problem‑solving initiatives.
• Identify training cost‑reduction opportunities and propose innovative improvements.
• Guide and coach other trainers, and assist with hiring, onboarding, and dexterity testing.
• Collaborate on change documentation and flexibility processes.
• Follow supervisor instructions and perform additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing training environment.
• Strong commitment to internal and external customers.
• Effective adult‑learning techniques, patience, and emotional intelligence.
• High attention to detail and assertive communication skills.
• Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to follow and share instructions.
• Basic computer literacy; Train‑the‑Trainer certification is a plus.
• Education: at least secondary education or a bachelor’s degree in education.
