About the role
The Traffic Specialist will manage and coordinate the transportation of goods for a company operating in Costa Rica. This role ensures on‑time deliveries, optimises logistics costs and guarantees compliance with national and international trade regulations. The position works closely with carriers, customs authorities and internal teams in a hybrid setting (three days onsite).
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments to meet delivery schedules.
- Select, evaluate and negotiate with carriers and freight providers.
- Monitor shipments in transit and proactively resolve transportation issues.
- Manage customs and transportation documentation for import/export compliance.
- Control logistics costs, analyse variances and support cost‑reduction initiatives.
- Track and report logistics KPIs and performance metrics.
Required profile
- Fluent English (interviews conducted in English).
- Based in Costa Rica with a hybrid work arrangement (three days onsite).
