Systems Verification Engineer – Integrated Flight & Propulsion Control

About the role

Join Joby’s cutting‑edge aerospace team as a Systems Verification Engineer focused on the Integrated Flight and Propulsion Control System (IFPCS). You will play a key part in validating the software and hardware that enable vertical‑takeoff air taxis to operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Author and execute automated and manual verification test scripts.
• Perform data reduction, analysis, and generate comprehensive test reports.
• Report, resolve, and track issues through closure.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including software, system test, test equipment, and flight test groups.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace preferred).
• Demonstrated project or internship experience in a relevant field.
• Understanding of disciplined systems‑engineering processes and laboratory work.
• Experience with modeling and simulation using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Strong verbal and technical writing skills in English.
• Self‑starter attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• MATLAB and Simulink.
• Atlassian suite – Jira, Confluence, Crucible.
• Dassault Enovia.
• Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
• Experience with failure modes and effects testing (FMET) and requirements management.
