Strategic Buyer – Global Procurement

About the role

Snowflake is seeking a high‑energy, detail‑oriented Strategic Buyer to join its Global Procurement team. The role will manage a diverse portfolio of indirect spend, focusing on Professional Services and Marketing categories, and will partner with Marketing, GTM and Legal stakeholders to drive strategic sourcing and contract negotiations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with commercial negotiations for MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, events and order forms, collaborating with Legal, Security and TPRM to meet risk standards.
• Act as a trusted advisor to internal business owners, guiding them through the Zip and Workday procurement processes and providing market intelligence.
• Drive efficiency in the Source‑to‑Pay (S2P) cycle, ensuring accurate PO creation in Workday and timely vendor onboarding.
• Monitor vendor performance, manage renewals proactively and prevent service disruptions.
• Analyze spend data to identify consolidation opportunities, shadow‑IT risks and cost‑saving initiatives.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in global procurement, preferably within software or SaaS categories.
• Hands‑on experience with Zip (Intake‑to‑Procure) and Workday (ERP); familiarity with ServiceNow and Ironclad is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong project‑management capabilities to handle a high volume of concurrent requests in a fast‑growth environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business or a related field.
