Specialist Teacher - English

About the role

Blue Valley School, part of the Inspired Education Group, is seeking a Specialist Teacher of English to deliver high‑quality instruction to elementary and secondary students in San José, Costa Rica. The role focuses on creating engaging, differentiated lessons that align with the school’s international curriculum and assessment standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and continuously improve English lessons that inspire and challenge all learners.
• Individualise and differentiate instruction to ensure each student makes outstanding progress.
• Assess student work regularly, both in‑class and at home, and provide targeted feedback.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued and are willing to take risks.
• Collaborate with colleagues, share best practices, and contribute to the school’s learning community.

Required profile

• Passionate English teacher with a strong commitment to student development.
• Demonstrated experience teaching in high‑quality, international or private school settings.
• Creative, dedicated and able to maintain high academic standards.
