Specialist Lead, Financial Planning and Analysis

About the role

The Specialist Lead, Financial Planning and Analysis supports Deloitte’s Growth & Development organization by turning data into insight, improving processes, and backing key business decisions. Based in San Jose, Costa Rica, you will partner closely with the manager and internal teams to drive financial planning, reporting and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, organize and analyze information from portfolio leaders and program managers to support annual planning, forecasting, variance analysis and budgeting, and prepare clear summaries for review.
• Assist with period‑close activities including accruals, forecast submissions, reconciliations, spend monitoring and draft monthly financial summaries for management reporting.
• Maintain financial models and tracking tools for expenses, future costs, billings, payments and Statements of Work, and produce draft reports, presentations and ad‑hoc analyses highlighting trends and variances.
• Support vendor and SOW intake, approval tracking, system submissions and coordination with the Vendor Relationship Management team, while assisting compliance reviews and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate information gathering and work intake with G&D team members, Learning Leaders, program managers, Firm Finance and Vendor Relationship Management, and prepare communications and materials for stakeholder discussions.

Required profile

• Experience gathering and analyzing financial data for planning, forecasting and budgeting.
• Familiarity with period‑close and financial reporting processes.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams including program managers, finance and vendor management.
• Strong attention to detail and capability to prepare clear summaries and presentations for senior stakeholders.
