Spanish Teacher (IB) – Secondary

About the role

Blue Valley School, a respected private institution in Costa Rica, is seeking an IB Spanish Teacher for secondary students starting July 2026. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality instruction, foster student progress and well‑being, and actively contribute to the broader school community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Spanish lessons aligned with the school curriculum and IB assessment standards.
• Assess student learning regularly, provide targeted feedback, and support each learner to achieve outstanding progress.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued, supported, and motivated to take academic risks.
• Collaborate with colleagues, share best practices, and pursue continuous professional development.
• Participate in co‑curricular activities, lead clubs, and contribute to whole‑school initiatives.
• Maintain open, constructive communication with parents and guardians.

Required profile

• Passionate educator committed to inspiring young people and promoting holistic development.
• Experience teaching Spanish at the secondary level, preferably within the IB framework.
