Software Engineer

About the role

The Software Engineer designs and develops new features for the systems that run the company's platform. The role covers feature delivery, backend maintenance, integration of payment processing, testing and on-call support.

Key responsibilities

• Support the department's strategy and ensure features are smoothly deployed to operators.
• Coordinate with Business Analysts to gather requirements and create design, architecture and implementation documents.
• Implement new features and maintain the backend system operators use to control the platform.
• Integrate payment-processing solutions into the software.
• Take part in code reviews, assist the QA team, develop and review unit tests, and test and debug code.
• Complete logistical tasks on time, troubleshoot field issues, and assist the Junior Software Engineer.
• Participate in the on-call role as needed.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience with object-oriented design and development, ASP.NET, JavaScript and SQL Server.
• 1+ year of experience with REST APIs and design patterns.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field.
• Intermediate verbal and written English; excellent customer service, organization, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
