Senior QA Engineer

About the role

Coforge is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to lead both manual and automated testing efforts for investor funding, payment processing, and data integration projects. This remote position supports US Eastern Time business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute manual and automated tests for core financial workflows.
• Build and maintain automated test suites using Python (pytest, Robot Framework) and Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Validate REST APIs, file‑based integrations, and data pipelines for accuracy and reliability.
• Write complex SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and defect investigation.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Perform performance and load testing to ensure scalability of transaction processing.
• Test responsive web applications across browsers, devices, and screen sizes.
• Leverage AI‑powered tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude to accelerate test development and analysis.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders throughout the Agile lifecycle.

Required profile

• 5+ years of QA experience covering manual and automated testing.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Python automation frameworks (pytest, Robot Framework).
• Proficiency with Playwright using TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Advanced SQL skills, including joins, subqueries, and data validation.
• Experience testing REST APIs with Postman or code‑based frameworks.
• Experience implementing automated tests in CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of performance/load testing tools such as JMeter, k6, or Locust.
• 3+ years working in Agile/Scrum teams and ability to work US Eastern Time hours.
