Senior Process Engineer – Manufacturing

About the role

Samtec, Inc. is looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join its Engineering Department. You will work on cable manufacturing processes, applying Lean principles and data‑driven analysis to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct time studies on new and existing products and processes.
• Develop current‑ and future‑state Value Stream Maps and identify non‑value‑added waste.
• Analyze productivity, yield, downtime and other KPIs using Excel and Minitab.
• Implement process, tooling, layout, and machinery improvements.
• Lead or support product and process transfers across global facilities.
• Apply Lean techniques (Push/Pull, Kanban, One‑Piece Flow, TOC) and conduct risk analysis with FMEA and SPC.
• Manage a project portfolio based on priorities and resources.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement projects aligned with business goals.

Required profile

• B.S. or B.A. in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or related) or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Professional English proficiency and strong technical literacy.
• Proactive, improvement‑oriented mindset with the ability to work under pressure.
