Senior Director, Clinical Data Management – Portfolio, Resource & Operations

About the role

The Senior Director, Clinical Data Management Portfolio, Resource, Operations leads strategic functional governance for data management across global teams. Reporting to the Head of function, this role drives integrated analytics, forecasting and long‑range operational strategies to ensure alignment across geographies and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide functional area operations leadership, define policies, governance frameworks and forecasting methodologies.
• Represent the portfolio in enterprise forums, communicate risks, trade‑offs and act as escalation point.
• Lead global initiatives to improve efficiency through automation, AI, quality‑by‑design and change management.
• Oversee capacity modeling, demand‑supply forecasting and establish performance metrics and dashboards.
• Govern resource, financial controls and budgets, ensuring compliance with global SLA/SOW standards.
• Set strategy for role‑specific curricula, develop training, communities of practice and succession pipelines.
• Approve headcount and funding cases, manage real‑time workload balancing across regions.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in clinical data management or related functional area.
• Strong track record of strategic planning, operational governance and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Experience managing global teams, budgets and resource forecasting.
• Demonstrated ability to drive automation, AI‑first initiatives and continuous improvement.
