Senior Data Engineer – Power BI & Azure Synapse

About the role

We are looking for a senior data engineer to design, build, and maintain data solutions using Power BI and Azure Synapse. The role involves automating infrastructure, managing databases, and ensuring reliable data pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform for Azure and Cloudflare environments.
• Oversee PostgreSQL database operations and automate related tasks.
• Deploy and configure message queues to enable efficient data processing.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Enforce security best practices, including RBAC, across the DevOps lifecycle.
• Implement monitoring and observability solutions and quickly resolve infrastructure issues.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience with the listed technology stack.
• Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.

Required skills

• Power BI (semantic models, DAX.pbix deployment, incremental refresh, query folding)
• Azure Synapse (notebooks, pipelines, triggers, workspace management, query optimization)
• SQL for data validation and transformation
• PowerShell scripting (Az, MicrosoftPowerBIMgmt modules)
• Terraform for IaC
• PostgreSQL database management
• Message queue configuration
• GitHub Actions for CI/CD
