Senior Android Developer

About the role

Ascendion is seeking a Senior Android Developer to help build and maintain a world‑class mobile application used by millions. You will work in a fast‑paced engineering environment, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end project delivery from technical design through deployment.
• Participate in the full application lifecycle: concept, design, development, testing, and release.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and code‑review feedback.
• Build scalable, reusable Android components and features.
• Optimize performance, including background processing and threading.
• Implement offline storage solutions to ensure reliable mobile experiences.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional Android application development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and solid experience with Java.
• Deep understanding of the Android framework and UI/UX guidelines.
• Experience implementing MVVM architecture and working with large code bases.
• Proven ability to consume RESTful APIs and work with shared API libraries.
