Senior Accounting Consultant / Technical Controller

About the role

SpotterLabs is seeking a Senior Accounting Consultant / Technical Controller to anchor technical accounting accuracy and drive system transformations during a period of rapid growth. This full‑time remote position will partner directly with leadership to ensure audit readiness and robust financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead lease accounting (ASC 842) by reviewing and managing Right‑of‑Use assets and lease liabilities.
• Oversee fixed assets, enforce capitalization policies, manage disposals, and maintain the asset register.
• Provide second‑line technical GAAP review of complex transactions, contracts, and financing arrangements.
• Strengthen month‑end close processes, accrual methodologies, and cut‑off procedures.
• Establish elevated balance‑sheet reconciliation standards and ownership controls.
• Prepare detailed audit schedules, reports, and technical documentation for internal and external auditors.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with U.S. GAAP and controllership functions.
• Proven ability to manage audit processes and technical accounting reviews.
• Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail.
