Remote Chemistry Expert (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Chemistry Expert to work remotely on a contract basis. You will contribute to improving AI models by providing precise, well‑explained answers to advanced chemistry queries.

Key responsibilities

• Generate authoritative, accurate responses to complex chemistry questions, focusing on clarity and depth.
• Review and evaluate chemistry data, questions, and solutions to ensure scientific accuracy and alignment with current best practices.
• Develop comprehensive explanations and justifications across a wide range of chemical concepts, from foundational to specialized topics.
• Collaborate with annotation leads and project managers to refine requirements and maintain high response quality.
• Create exemplary “golden responses” that serve as benchmarks for future model outputs.
• Document the context and rationale behind each answer to aid model interpretability.
• Participate in remote discussions or workshops to clarify objectives and ensure alignment across the contributor community.

Required profile

• PhD in Chemistry or a closely related scientific field with strong expertise in both basic and advanced topics.
• Proven ability to communicate intricate chemistry concepts precisely in written form.
• Experience developing, reviewing, or publishing scientific or educational chemistry materials.
• Familiarity with multiple chemistry sub‑disciplines (organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, materials science) and ability to adapt explanations for diverse audiences.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to scientific rigor.
• Experience with AI, data annotation, or digital content projects is a plus.
• Strong collaboration skills in remote or cross‑functional environments.
