About the role

The Pharmacy Operations Manager ensures the technical and regulatory compliance of a community pharmacy while providing specialized pharmaceutical advice to patients. The role combines operational oversight, staff training, and direct patient interaction to deliver safe and effective pharmacy services.

Key responsibilities

• Handle specific customer queries following the Service Protocol and provide specialized pharmaceutical counseling.
• Process prescription dispensing in accordance with established protocols.
• Train floor staff on medication categories, dosage forms, laboratories, and common ailments.
• Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injectable medications as prescribed.
• Monitor expiration dates of all pharmacy products, including controlled substances and cold‑chain items.
• Measure and record client blood pressure when requested or required.
• Manage orders, inventory, and secure handling of psychotropic, narcotic, and vaccine products, entering them into the digital prescription system.
• Ensure compliance with Ministry of Health and Pharmacy Board regulations, including waste management for bio‑infectious materials.

Required profile

• Professional knowledge of pharmacy regulations and technical standards.
• Ability to advise patients on health issues and medication use.
