Purchasing Manager

About the role

The Purchasing Manager will lead the company’s purchasing and supply strategy, ensuring materials are available on time and at the lowest possible cost while meeting regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute sourcing and supplier strategies, including dual sourcing, cost‑reduction initiatives, and qualification of new strategic suppliers.
• Manage the Purchasing department’s budget and key financial indicators such as PPV, savings, and freight costs.
• Negotiate and approve commercial agreements with strategic suppliers.
• Supervise the Purchasing Supervisor and validate high‑impact or high‑risk decisions.
• Represent Purchasing in Management and General Management meetings.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and foreign‑trade regulations.
• Identify and mitigate strategic supply‑chain risks, developing contingency plans for business continuity.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives focused on automation, cost reduction, and inventory optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, International Trade or a related field; Master’s degree desirable.
• 7–10 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement or Supply Chain, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Strong negotiation, strategic leadership, decision‑making and budget‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills; Power BI knowledge is desirable.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards and foreign‑trade regulations.
