Project Senior Analyst

About the role

The Project Senior Analyst provides expert analytical support and drives the development of new techniques, process improvements, and workflow optimisation within the project function. The role combines deep disciplinary knowledge with strong leadership to influence project outcomes across size, geography and complexity.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and disseminate information on process, policy and procedure changes to ensure successful project delivery.
• Create and maintain project artefacts such as charter, benefits management plan, stakeholder and acceptance plans, issue logs and risk management plans.
• Assign resources, monitor commitments and enforce change control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify project dependencies, track actual costs, analyse variances and re‑forecast budgets as needed.
• Measure project performance against standards and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
• Develop and execute communication plans for internal and external stakeholders.
• Work with procurement to manage contracts from creation to closure.
• Facilitate transition of systems, products and processes to minimise operational impact.

Required profile

• In‑depth knowledge of the project discipline and its integration within the broader business.
• Strong analytical ability to filter, prioritise and validate complex information from multiple sources.
• Excellent communication and diplomacy skills, with experience in informal and formal leadership.
• Proven experience coaching and training new team members.
• Ability to evaluate moderately complex issues with substantial impact and balance conflicting alternatives.
