Principal Project Manager

About the role

Boston Scientific is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead the development and implementation of cross‑functional projects that deliver new products and services. This hybrid role combines on‑site collaboration with remote work, allowing you to coordinate teams across operations, quality, engineering, supply chain, finance, R&D and other key functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional execution for transfer, NPI and strategic programs, ensuring alignment across all stakeholder groups.
• Define project scope, strategy, deliverables, timeline, budget and resource requirements in partnership with functional leaders.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, dashboards, budgets, action trackers and risk registers using standard project‑management tools.
• Drive execution by assigning actions, monitoring milestones, identifying risks, escalating issues and implementing mitigation plans.
• Coordinate cross‑site transfer readiness activities, including knowledge transfer, equipment movement, validation planning, training strategy and production start‑up support.
• Ensure timely completion, approval and compliance of project deliverables, phase reviews, change notices, validation documents and financial updates.
• Establish and lead project governance structures, including core team meetings, leadership updates and status reporting.
• Monitor project health against schedule, cost, scope, quality and savings, communicating risks and impacts to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large, complex, cross‑functional projects in a regulated environment.
• Strong ability to partner with senior leaders and influence decision‑making across multiple functions.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills to remove barriers and drive timely project outcomes.
• Demonstrated capability to manage budgets, track OPEX/CAPEX and report financial performance.
