Plumbing Engineer

About the role

The Plumbing Engineer at Power Design is responsible for designing and coordinating complex plumbing systems on large‑scale projects. You will perform flow calculations, select equipment, and develop piping layouts while collaborating closely with mechanical and electrical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate optimal plumbing design solutions, applying industry standards, customer requirements, and budget constraints.
• Provide design direction and support to team members, working directly with Revit CADD technicians to ensure constructability and quality.
• Communicate effectively with clients, project teams, and inspecting authorities.

Required profile

• Team player with a customer‑focused mindset, adaptable to a changing environment.
• Minimum 3 years of plumbing design experience.
• Strong understanding of constructability and design fundamentals for mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Experience sizing water heaters, sump pumps, sewage ejectors, and domestic hot‑water plants.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical and plumbing codes (IPC, IMC, IBC, ASHRAE).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to read blueprints, submittals, and specifications.
