Payroll Tax Specialist (Bilingual)

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual Payroll Tax Specialist to oversee tax compliance across multiple states and entities on a pay‑period basis. You will act as the subject‑matter expert for payroll tax filings, reporting, and reconciliation, working closely with finance, accounting, and third‑party tax vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, reconcile and support payroll tax compliance after each pay period.
• Prepare and review statutory tax filings (e.g., 941s, W‑2s) and related notices.
• Maintain payroll‑related tax accounts within third‑party tax vendor systems.
• Collaborate with Finance on journal entries, account structure changes, and tax accruals.
• Perform internal audits of payroll tax data and support external auditors.
• Stay current on tax legislation, regulations, and tax equalization rules.
• Represent the Payroll Tax team on special projects and process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bilingual proficiency (English and another language).
• Experience in multi‑state, multi‑entity payroll tax compliance.
• FPC or CPP designation preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Workday HRIS platform.
• Third‑party payroll tax vendor software.
• Knowledge of payroll tax filings such as 941 and W‑2.
