Payment Fraud Prevention Analyst

About the role

As part of the Payment Fraud team within the Fraud Risk Management division, this role reports directly to the Fraud Prevention Manager. It involves identifying and resolving payment fraud issues, tackling moderately complex problems and offering well-informed analyses. The position follows a hybrid model: three days on site at the AFZ location and the rest of the week working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Become subject matter expert on the supported HP stores, covering tools, processes and the order processing life cycle.
• Identify and mitigate fraud trends to protect operations, using expert-level understanding of processes and policies.
• Act as the main point of contact for escalations and team support, addressing daily customer needs.
• Engage with customers to uncover fraudulent activity through targeted questions tailored to each situation.
• Analyze customer interactions by phone or email to spot suspicious behaviour and potential fraud.
• Adapt to evolving fraud schemes while following daily strategies and established guidelines.
• Exercise sound judgment to take calculated risks that drive improvement and innovation.

Required profile

• University degree or comparable proven experience.
• Very fluent English (90%+), oral and written, with strong communication skills.
• Self-starter with initiative and creative thinking to solve complex problems.
• Proven ability to work independently with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Previous payment fraud experience, chargeback management or fraud prevention knowledge is desirable.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekend support when required.

Required skills

• Intermediate Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other primary Office applications.
• Ability to evaluate and understand complex information.
