Operations Manager – Work Authorization

About the role

Amazon’s Talent Solutions organization is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the Work Authorization (WA) team. This senior position owns the global delivery of work‑authorization compliance services, partnering closely with Legal, Risk & Compliance, Immigration, Technology and Product teams to protect Amazon from regulatory exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Set vision, define success metrics and own the multi‑year roadmap for WA operations.
• Lead and develop manager‑level direct reports, fostering a culture of psychological safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee global production support provided by HR Specialists, ensuring accuracy, process integrity and SOP adherence.
• Collaborate daily with Regional HR Managers on program design, regional compliance strategy and operational execution.
• Manage org health metrics such as engagement, attrition, capacity planning and workload equity.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing senior HR or compliance teams in a large, global organization.
• Deep understanding of work‑authorization regulations and compliance processes.
• Strong partnership skills with legal, risk, immigration, technology and product stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to set strategic direction, drive execution at scale and develop future leaders.
