New Product Buyer – 1 Year Temporary Contract

About the role

Teradyne is seeking a New Product Buyer to support the material pipeline for newly developed products. This 1‑year temporary position is based in Costa Rica and works closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure timely availability of components.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze Bills of Material and MRP data to secure required materials.
• Requisition material and execute expense and inventory purchase orders.
• Resolve critical material shortages and track product cost.
• Develop and monitor risk‑management plans for new product launches.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate with all management levels.
• Work independently and devise creative solutions to supply challenges.

Required profile

• BA/BS in Business, Industrial Engineering or equivalent, or comparable supply‑chain experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain, operations or related roles.
• Proficiency with Office Package and Excel.
• English proficiency preferred.
• CPM certification for electromechanical materials.
• Experience using Oracle.
