Mid-level Corporate & Litigation Paralegal

About the role

Progress Software Corporation is seeking a mid‑level corporate and litigation Paralegal to join its Enterprise Legal Services team. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work from home and from our Belen, Costa Rica office. You will support attorneys across a range of legal matters, from complex multi‑district litigation to data privacy and export compliance projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist global litigation and customer dispute matters, including a large data‑breach case in Massachusetts Federal Court.
• Prepare, review, draft, and organize legal documents and discovery materials.
• Conduct export compliance screenings (SDN/OFAC) and support product classification audits.
• Support data‑privacy initiatives, including mapping personal data use and handling data subject access requests.
• Perform trademark clearing searches and file copyright registrations.
• Review and update company policies to align with evolving employment laws.
• Assist with drafting and revising vendor contracts, NDAs, service agreements, and distributor agreements.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience as a corporate or litigation Paralegal.
• Strong research, document‑management, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with external counsel and internal stakeholders across multiple practice areas.

Required skills

• Proficiency in legal document drafting and review.
• Familiarity with export compliance (SDN/OFAC) processes.
• Understanding of data‑privacy regulations and impact assessments.
• Experience with trademark searches and copyright filings.
