Médico Back up

About the role

The General Physician (Back‑up) will provide comprehensive outpatient care and continuous follow‑up for patients at Grupo Montecristo Costa Rica. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment, delivering evidence‑based diagnosis, treatment and health education.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments, order complementary tests and prescribe appropriate therapies.
• Educate patients on preventive health measures and healthy lifestyle habits.
• Coordinate care with nursing staff and other health professionals to ensure integrated patient management.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and prepare clinical reports.
• Participate in internal quality and patient‑safety protocol development.

Required profile

• Medical degree with current licensure and registration.
• Practical experience in primary care or family medicine, capable of managing common pathologies.
• Ability to provide longitudinal, preventive, patient‑centred care.
• Basic nursing knowledge to facilitate coordinated procedures.
• Experience in patient and staff education and continuous training.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
