Leave of Absence (LOA) Case Manager – 11‑month Contract

About the role

Amazon is seeking an LOA Case Manager for an 11‑month fixed‑term contract to join the Disability & Leave Services team. The role provides end‑to‑end case management for employee leave of absence, disability and accommodation events worldwide, acting as the single point of contact throughout each case.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate and respond to employee inquiries about leave, disability events, benefits and options.
• Review medical documentation and adjudicate leaves in compliance with Amazon policies, federal and state regulations.
• Develop and adjust case management plans based on changing employee needs.
• Troubleshoot issues, remove barriers and ensure clear communication during the leave lifecycle.
• Facilitate smooth return‑to‑work and ramp‑back plans.
• Educate managers and business partners on employee concerns before and after leave.
• Maintain accurate system records and coordinate with third‑party administrators, HR, Legal, Payroll and Benefits teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, HR or related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Knowledge of federal and state leave regulations and benefit plans.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (including Outlook).
