Lead Web Designer – Remote (Costa Rica)

About the role

Smartsheet’s Brand Studio is looking for a Lead Web Designer to shape engaging, conversion‑focused digital experiences for the Marketing Operations team. Based in Costa Rica, you will work remotely while collaborating closely with the Design Director and cross‑functional partners.

Key responsibilities

• Create high‑converting landing pages, interactive web experiences, and digital campaign assets.
• Develop task flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes from user and business data.
• Provide UI specifications, assets, and detailed redlines for developers.
• Iterate rapidly on designs for A/B testing and experimentation.
• Maintain and evolve design patterns, style guides, and design systems.
• Support UX activities such as user research, usability testing, and information architecture.
• Collaborate with Motion Designers to implement lightweight web animations using LottieFiles and JSON.
• Manage multiple projects with overlapping priorities and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong human‑centered design mindset with a passion for user insight.
• Proven ability to translate narrative and strategy into intuitive web experiences.
• Excellent collaboration skills across design, product, and marketing teams.
• Experience leading both large and small design projects.
