Junior Software Engineer

About the role

Power Digital is looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join its AI‑centric product team. You will turn design mock‑ups into functional user interfaces, integrate APIs and help keep the codebase clean, well‑tested and secure while collaborating with senior engineers across a global, cross‑timezone team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features for both frontend and backend of web applications.
• Implement user interfaces based on design specifications.
• Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs and work with databases to support new functionality.
• Debug and resolve technical issues across the stack.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliable releases.
• Follow security best practices and internal development standards, including Git workflow.
• Participate in code reviews, daily stand‑ups and keep the team lead informed of progress and blockers.
• Leverage AI‑assisted tools to enhance development efficiency.

Required profile

• Advanced proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Willingness to work according to Pacific Time Zone hours.
• Motivation to learn quickly and collaborate with senior engineers.

Required skills

• Experience with REST API development.
• Familiarity with GraphQL.
• Understanding of database interactions.
• Ability to write unit and integration tests.
• Proficiency with Git version control.
