Inside Account Manager II

About the role

The Inside Account Manager II acts as the second‑in‑command for a regional sales team, leading day‑to‑day tactical activities, handling first‑level escalations and nurturing long‑term relationships with major accounts. The role supports the regional manager on strategic initiatives, provides coaching to representatives and serves as the primary backup when the manager is absent.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the manager’s backup for holds, rebills, stock transfers, OOM exceptions, forecasts and escalations.
• Supervise the sales team, deliver performance feedback and address skill gaps.
• Manage top and major customer accounts, executing pricing, freight contracts and strategic projects.
• Develop and implement customer strategies, including analysis and opportunity identification.
• Coordinate with client executives and internal departments on strategic initiatives and escalations.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to sales representatives.
• Maintain attendance and punctuality standards.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of relevant account management or sales experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; some college education required.
• Fluent in English; French proficiency where required.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently, handle confidential information and perform under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficient 10‑key data entry (≈40 wpm) and basic mathematical calculations.
• Competent use of standard computer applications and data‑entry systems.
