Immigration Compliance Specialist – Global

About the role

Amazon’s Immigration team seeks a Compliance Specialist to lead the Immigration Risk and Compliance program. The role ensures that controls mitigating immigration‑related risks are documented, evaluated, and continuously improved across global sites.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the subject‑matter expert for immigration controls, documenting and mapping controls to specific risks.
• Collaborate with internal and third‑party teams to convert manual controls into automated solutions and develop business requirement documents.
• Design and maintain mechanisms to measure control efficacy and report results to leadership on a monthly basis.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of control defects and drive corrective actions.
• Develop, test, and maintain training materials for front‑desk staff and site security to handle unannounced government visits.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date repository of SOPs, guidelines, and best practices.
• Produce regular risk and compliance status reports and foster communication with internal immigration teams and external service providers.

Required profile

• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in process inspection and improvement.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and training delivery.
