HW Design Engineer / PCB Designer

About the role

We are seeking a Hardware Design Engineer / PCB Designer to design, test, and bring‑up electronic equipment for our vertical‑takeoff air‑taxi. You will work on hardware that meets strict performance, reliability and safety requirements for aerospace applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, test and bring‑up electronic equipment per defined specifications.
• Support software development for hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing.
• Own component and PCB design choices and drive trade studies.
• Perform analyses such as load and thermal analysis.
• Select electrical components and create schematics and PCB layouts using ECAD tools.
• Collaborate on electrical system architecture and reliability studies (DFMEA, fault trees).
• Design for high‑EMI and harsh environments, ensuring high reliability.

Required profile

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field (advanced degree preferred).
• 3+ years experience in aerospace, automotive or medical hardware design.
• Strong understanding of power conversion, high‑speed digital design, signal conditioning, and discrete semiconductor design.
• Hands‑on experience building and debugging hardware.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
