HVAC Application Engineer I

About the role

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Application Engineer I to support the development, design, and optimization of HVAC systems for a variety of mission‑critical environments. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver efficient, high‑performance solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure HVAC designs align with customer needs and organizational standards.
• Analyze system performance data to identify improvement and efficiency opportunities.
• Streamline project workflows, address obstacles, and maintain clear communication to meet milestones.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and methodologies to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
• Engage in continuous learning, integrating new technologies and methods to enhance system performance.
• Foster collaboration with external partners to achieve project objectives and ensure customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in HVAC system design and optimization techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
• Experience with industry‑standard HVAC tools and software is advantageous.
