Human Resources Director – Costa Rica

About the role

The Human Resources Director will act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to senior leaders, shaping HR strategy for the Costa Rica site. This role is responsible for delivering high‑quality HR services that attract, develop, engage and retain top talent while aligning HR programs with overall business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement strategic HR initiatives in collaboration with site and Operations leadership.
• Drive associate engagement programs that meet evolving workforce needs.
• Lead recruitment and retention strategies to ensure a continuous pipeline of qualified associates.
• Coach business leaders on communication, development and performance management.
• Partner with leaders to develop talent strategies, succession planning and talent mobility.
• Collaborate with other HR functions to provide integrated, seamless solutions.
• Analyze HR trends and metrics to deliver data‑driven recommendations.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development for direct reports.
• Implement Center of Excellence processes, training and tools globally.
• Ensure compliance with all employment laws, regulations and company policies.
• Manage budget and staffing for the HR function and lead special projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 12 years of relevant HR experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing a team or core HR functions.
• Advanced leadership, influencing and business acumen.
• Strong organizational, coaching, conflict‑resolution and relationship skills.
• Ability to navigate a matrixed, global environment.
