High School Principal

About the role

We are looking for an exceptional educational leader to serve as High School Principal, providing instructional leadership and academic direction for a bilingual community. The role focuses on fostering a culture of excellence, student development, and continuous improvement across both United States and Costa Rican curricula.

Key responsibilities

• Lead instructional practices and uphold high academic standards.
• Oversee curriculum implementation, continuous improvement, and compliance with national and international requirements.
• Support teachers through planning, coaching, and professional development initiatives.
• Monitor student progress, analyze data, and guide academic decisions.
• Collaborate with department heads and school leadership on strategic projects.
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff.
• Facilitate academic meetings and contribute to school‑wide decision‑making.
• Promote student well‑being, character development, and an inclusive school culture.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Educational Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in school leadership or supervisory roles.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. and Costa Rican secondary curricula and diploma requirements.
• Experience preparing students for standardized tests and using data to drive results.
• Experience supervising academic accommodations and managing lesson‑planning/grade‑reporting systems.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
• High ethical standards and ability to handle confidential information.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
