Global Payroll Manager

About the role

The Global Payroll Manager is a newly created senior position that sits between the Global Head of Payroll and regional payroll teams. You will lead the payroll function across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, ensuring consistent, compliant and timely payroll delivery for both global payroll and EOR clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop Regional Payroll Leaders for the three regions, ensuring appropriate structure, staffing and processes.
• Standardise payroll operations globally, creating uniform processes, controls and escalation paths.
• Act as Tier 3 escalation owner for complex payroll issues that regional teams cannot resolve.
• Partner with the Global Head of Payroll on KPI monitoring, error attribution and SLA performance.
• Ensure multi‑country compliance, working with Governance and regional leads on statutory, tax and labour changes.
• Support EOR and Global Pay payroll delivery, overseeing entity‑specific payroll, filings and payments.
• Represent regional needs in payroll transformation and tooling initiatives, driving adoption of new systems.
• Collaborate with Implementation, Client Support, Sales and Governance to ensure smooth client onboarding and issue resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, HR or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of progressive payroll experience, including multi‑country or global operations.
• 3+ years managing managers or geographically distributed teams.
• Direct experience with Employer‑of‑Record (EOR) payroll models.
• Strong understanding of multi‑country payroll compliance and statutory requirements.
