gLIMS Specialist

About the role

Join Lonza's global digital quality and laboratory operations network as a gLIMS Specialist in San Jose, Costa Rica. You will ensure the accuracy, compliance, and reliability of critical laboratory information systems supporting life‑changing therapies worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Execute end‑to‑end master data activities within gLIMS, including creation, verification, approval, and transfer according to SOPs.
• Review and validate master data requests to ensure alignment with global standards and data governance.
• Support KPI reporting and periodic system reviews through data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
• Execute validation and regression test scripts for system changes, upgrades, and enhancements, maintaining accurate documentation.
• Manage validation records and documentation for compliance with change‑management procedures.
• Collaborate with Global LIMS Office, Local LIMS Office, Quality Control, and IT teams to ensure effective system operations.
• Identify, investigate, and escalate system or process issues while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Chemistry, Life Sciences or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting LIMS, laboratory systems, QC operations, or regulated digital environments.
• Knowledge of GMP requirements, data integrity principles, and quality system compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage master data accurately.
• Effective communication and customer support skills, including creating training materials.
• Fluent English.

Required skills

• LabVantage LIMS (or similar gLIMS) experience.
• Computer System Validation (CSV) including test script creation and execution.
• Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with SAP, Veeva, and/or KNEAT.
