French Teacher – Secondary School

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic French Teacher to join our secondary school program, delivering high‑quality French language instruction to students whose primary instruction is in English and Spanish. The role involves fostering linguistic competence, cultural appreciation, and confident use of French in academic and everyday contexts.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum, covering listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
• Develop and implement teaching units, projects and resources that engage diverse learning styles through active and differentiated methodologies.
• Integrate digital tools and educational platforms to enhance language acquisition.
• Assess student progress using formative and summative methods, provide feedback and maintain accurate records of grades and attendance.
• Collaborate with colleagues, participate in meetings, trainings and extracurricular cultural activities, and uphold safeguarding and child‑protection policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or university baccalaureate in French teaching, French philology, linguistics or related field.
• Advanced proficiency in French (C1 or higher) and preferably an international certification (DELF, DALF, TCF, TEF).
• 2–3 years of experience teaching French to secondary‑school students, preferably in bilingual or international settings.
• Strong knowledge of modern foreign‑language teaching methodologies, curriculum design and assessment standards.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multicultural student bodies.
