Financial Planner – Global Remote Contract

About the role

Nayya is seeking a Contract Financial Planner to join its global Northstar team, delivering 1‑on‑1 financial guidance to employees of client companies. The role is fully remote and focuses on providing personalized, fiduciary‑level advice across a range of personal finance topics.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Northstar Planning Leadership to develop country‑specific advice strategies and launch the service in Costa Rica.
• Create customized financial plans and actionable guidance to improve members' financial health.
• Educate members on maximizing employer benefits within the local context.
• Support members via text‑based chat, phone, and video calls, building trusting relationships.
• Serve as a subject‑matter expert on financial planning for internal Northstar teams.

Required profile

• Internationally recognized financial planning designation (CFP, CFA, ChFC, or equivalent).
• Active local licensing or accreditation (e.g., Bolsa Nacional de Valores, SUGEVAL, SUGESE) is a strong plus.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish.
• Proven experience across retirement, equity compensation, investments, budgeting, debt management, cash flow, digital currencies, estate planning, and insurance.
• Track record of delivering client‑first, comprehensive fiduciary financial plans.
• High empathy, emotional intelligence, and ability to balance quantitative and emotional approaches.
• Self‑motivated in a remote startup environment with a bias toward action.

Required skills

• Financial planning software proficiency.
• Advanced spreadsheet analysis (Excel or equivalent).
