Financial Controller

About the role

As the Financial Controller for Silvestre Group, you will build and oversee the financial operations of a fast‑growing hospitality brand in Costa Rica. Working closely with the Managing Partner and property teams, you will ensure accurate budgeting, cash‑flow management, and reporting across multiple properties.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day financial operations, including bookkeeping, cash‑flow management and financial reporting.
• Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly and annual budgets in collaboration with the Managing Partner and property teams.
• Track and report actuals versus budget across multiple properties and cost centres.
• Ensure timely vendor and staff payments with clear procedures and approvals.
• Build and implement ERP systems for cost control, inventory, procurement and payroll.
• Coordinate with external accountants to guarantee compliance with tax filings and financial regulations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and data integrity throughout the organization.
• Prepare reporting materials for investors, partners and internal leadership.
• Support financial planning for new projects and expansion initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in financial management or a controller role.
• Experience in hospitality, real‑estate or multi‑entity operations is preferred.
• Strong command of accounting principles, cash‑flow tracking and cost analysis.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills and a proactive problem‑solving attitude.
• Fluent in English; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
