Finance Operations Manager

About the role

The Finance Operations Manager partners with site operations leaders to provide financial insight, drive budgeting and forecasting, and support strategic decisions across multiple manufacturing platforms. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role ensures financial performance aligns with P&L and balance‑sheet targets while identifying improvement opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall financial leadership to assigned operations units to achieve operational and financial results.
• Advise business leaders on revenue growth, profitability, inventory, cash, and capital investment, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Support site financial planning, analysis, and internal controls as a strategic partner to the VP of Operations and plant staff.
• Lead detailed budgeting, forecasting, and business development activities.
• Drive accurate AOP and monthly forecasting processes for revenue, COGS, headcount, and profit.
• Support production readiness reviews, capital projects, and lifecycle analyses.
• Establish and enforce internal control policies for assigned sites.
• Review operating results, identify risks, and recommend actions to improve performance.
• Reconcile operational and financial performance, creating variance bridges.
• Collaborate with manufacturing operations and Cost Accounting to ensure accurate cost allocation.
• Participate in month‑end close, propose journal entries, and prepare flash reports.
• Prepare monthly trend reviews and partner with operations leaders.
• Optimize inventory performance, valuation, and days‑on‑hand.
• Support Cost Accounting in setting and rolling standard costs for new products.
