Especialista Financiero NICSP – SAP FI

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Specialist in Public Sector Accounting Standards (NICSP/IPSAS) with functional SAP expertise. The role starts as an on‑demand help‑desk service and may evolve into participation in implementation projects, requiring travel to Costa Rica.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to financial queries and requests related to NICSP within SAP solutions.
• Analyze functional incidents and propose solutions aligned with current Costa Rican NICSP regulations.
• Provide functional support for financial processes, especially those linked to SAP FI.
• Participate in implementation, support, maintenance, and adaptation activities for SAP.
• Identify regulatory impact on SAP financial processes and configurations.
• Prepare functional documentation and track addressed requirements.
• Collaborate with functional, technical, and key user teams.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Auditing, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience with NICSP/IPSAS standards applicable in Costa Rica.
• Participation in at least two SAP NICSP implementation, support, or maintenance projects (SAP ECC 6.0 or higher).
• Functional knowledge of finance processes within SAP.
• Availability for on‑demand assistance and travel to Costa Rica.
• Certification in NICSP/IPSAS is a plus; otherwise, relevant courses or diplomas should be indicated.

Required skills

• SAP FI functional expertise.
• Experience with SAP ECC 6.0 or later versions.
• In‑depth knowledge of NICSP/IPSAS public sector accounting standards.
