About the role

We are looking for a Human Resources Specialist to join J&T Express Costa Rica in Heredia. The role will oversee the full HR cycle, from recruitment to payroll, ensuring compliance with Costa Rican labor regulations and supporting employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, off‑boarding and employee relations.
• Coordinate and execute the full recruitment cycle for various levels and functions.
• Prepare, review and process payroll, ensuring correct deductions, benefits and statutory contributions.
• Handle interactions with CCSS and INS to meet all legal obligations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date employee files, contracts, vacation, sick leave and other administrative records.
• Provide guidance to staff on policies, benefits and labor matters.
• Address conflicts, manage disciplinary cases and ensure proper documentation.
• Support initiatives that improve workplace climate, engagement and well‑being.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in comprehensive HR functions.
• Advanced proficiency in English and ability to work onsite.
• Strong knowledge of Costa Rican labor legislation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with HR management systems (HRIS).
